cabane
A space for invention and adaptability, as described by Henry David Thoreau, who asserted the individual's power to brave this world and inhabit it differently through a poetic refusal of conformity; or by Marielle Macé in her book Nos cabanes, this collection is conceived as a refuge. It features muted, colorful, and enveloping tones, expressed through both its cuts and materials.
Inspired by Le Corbusier’s Cabanon, the Nilss piece, crafted from wool sheet or water-repellent cotton, allows trenches and parkas to be modularly adapted, accessorizing an inclusive silhouette. The ecru facing enhances this concept of evolving, adaptable garments.
The color palette spans from light to dark. Recycled Italian wools, alpaca, and merino in nuanced half-tones are energized by vibrant oranges and bright pinks, pastel seafoam greens and lilacs, deep ultraviolets, and dark navy right through to black—a nod to the shades obtained through Shou Sugi Ban, the Japanese charred wood technique.
Oversized tailoring, available in three colors, disrupts classic codes with a modern, androgynous cut for a singular, elegant, and effortless style. Extremely soft, plush knitwear warms up the generous volumes of drawstring-cinched dresses, asymmetrical mini-skirts, leather culotte-style trousers, and supple, single-pleat jeans. The coats are intentionally loose and enveloping, contemporary with a hint of nonchalance.
A resolutely unified wardrobe with minimalist, original, and fluid lines, punctuated by the Reflect, Diffract, and Lumen prints that evoke the Northern Lights, whispering a dreamlike call to the great Nordic spaces.
